Our Keynote Presenters

Dr. Amy Serin, PhD

Horizon Recovery

Topic: Cutting-Edge Integration of Neuropsychology, Neuromodulation, and Technology to Improve Treatment Outcomes (1 CEU)

This lecture will explore the use of EEGs to guide medication decisions, the integration of neurofeedback into treatment programs, and the latest research on their outcomes. It will also cover emerging non-invasive technologies that can enhance traditional treatments for improved results. Research and outcome data will be presented, along with models for adopting and integrating these innovative methods.

Dr. Georgia Fourlas, DSW, LCSW, LIAC

Meadows Behavioral Healthcare

Topic: Breaking the Bond: Trauma Bonds and Other Trauma Reactions (1 CEU)

This lecture will explore trauma bonding in relationships and other forms of trauma reactivity that form life patterns and how to recognize and treat those trauma reactive patterns.

Dr. Michael Groat, PhD

The Lindner Center of Hope

Topic: The Reflective Lens: Bridging Disciplines to Transform Diagnostic Assessment & Treatment Outcomes (1 CEU)

By embedding reflection and relational attunement into the structure of care, this interdisciplinary model transcends fragmented treatment silos. Clinical outcomes demonstrate improved diagnostic clarity, enhanced treatment adherence, and reductions in symptom severity and crisis behaviors. Case examples illustrate how interdisciplinary integration catalyzes insight, regulation, and hope.

Dr. Karlyn Pleasants, PsyD

Anew Treatment Center

Topic: Integrative Pathways to Wholeness: Jung’s Transcendent Function and the Dialectics of Healing (1 CEU)

This lecture will explore Jung’s transcendent function as a bridge between conscious and unconscious, transforming psychic opposites into wholeness through integrative approaches.

Dustin Tibbits, LMFT

Embark Behavioral Health

Topic: From Self-Harm to Shared Healing: A Family Systemic, Integrated Approach (1 CEU)

This presentation compassionately explores why people self-injure—anger, emotional self-medication, trading psychic for physical pain, guilt/shame, attachment issues, comfort, and dissociation—while noting how parents can unintentionally reinforce the behavior. It emphasizes that real change arises from deep, trusting therapeutic relationships rather than quick fixes, advocating a root-cause, family systems approach when parents are emotionally safe. In an era of rising youth self-harm, this session equips therapists with strength-based, client-centered strategies to help clients heal from underlying torment and reduce self-injury.

Jackson Ardery, LICSW & Jessie Roberge, OT

 McLean Hospital

Topic: The Dialectics of Doing and Dialoguing: The Necessity of Combined Occupational Therapy and Dialogic Psychotherapy in Residential Care for Adults with SMI (1 CEU)

About Us

This Year's Theme:

Bridging Disciplines, Elevating Outcomes: Integrative Care in Mental Health

The Partners In Treatment (Scottsdale) Annual Conference on Mental Health is the brainchild of six partner facilities— Anew Treatment Center Scottsdale, Lindner Center of Hope, Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, Embark Behavioral Health, Horizon Recovery, and McLean Hospital. Our team objective is to bring a superior educational experience for healthcare professionals seeking the latest information on the treatment of mental illnesses. We have brought together some of the most knowledgeable clinicians in the industry who will be presenting on timely topics with useful information designed to support our attendees desire to learn the latest in mental health treatment advances.

We are not a “pay to play” conference. Unlike other conferences, we do not let facilities pay to present a topic. We choose the presenters and approve the topics. The presenters at this conference are the best each of the partner facilities have to offer. The commitment to our valued attendees is that we will present important information on a bevy of topics but not be a commercial for any of the facilities.
